A remnant of Vancouver's industrial past survives as a sprawling, enigmatic labyrinth of wood, brick and cement.
Originally built for western Canada’s largest manufacturer of furniture, the Restmore Company thrived in the first half of the last century. But, by the late 1950’s, Restmore was in decline and the building was shuttered in 1967.
The early 70’s brought a renewed but temporary use as a warehouse- the building was slated for demolition.
